This was a fun opportunity to show and sell my work in person, connect face-to-face with collectors, and share my story as both a physician and artist. It was inspiring to hear how people responded emotionally to my mixed-media pieces, and to see how a live setting elevates art.
Participating in Cocktails & Connections reaffirmed my commitment to creating art that not only decorates a space, but moves people and sparks well-being. It also reinforced the importance of community and connection in my work, something I aim to bring into every original piece, print, and commission.
My very first solo production. "Arts In Medicine" the Show

A lovely evening of creativity, culture and fellowship as I host my very first Art Gala: Arts in Medicine. I shared how I connect my passion for Art with my calling for medicine! I demonstrated how everyone can incorporating more Art in their life to iprove on overall wellness. I had over 10 new original pieces displayed amongst my faves!
"Arts in Medicine"

I had the privilege of turning an old crash cart we had in the hospital to a functioning art cart that the volunteers will drive around and utilize for art therapy! Studies are beginning to show the associations between creating and admiring art to improving patient satisfaction, decreasing length of stay and overall acute stress levels. I'm hoping to continue the research at my own hospital and this cart will help me do just that!
The cart will be stuffed with paint, sketch and clay kits that the patients can chose from, as well as seasonal DIY crafts.
I'm super excited about this project and will keep you all updated on the research as it progresses! Love that I can continue to merge my two worlds.

I’ve chosen to take a step back and embrace how I made it to where I am, how we all did. This series pays homage to the continent that shaped me and the parents who raised me. This series compliments the beat that moves through my hips on any given day and the connection I feel between where I am and where I want to be.
